I got on TV woo!!!

Last night Q&A, a panel show here in Australia, played Ask Raptor Jesusat the end of their show.

I had to reduce the time down to as close to a minute as possible, so I cut the introductory spiel and shortened the poledancing at the end (which was like cutting off one of my own limbs but it had to be done).

The crowd reaction seemed positive, but I think that maybe Parliament Deathmatch got more laughs when they played it last August. According to a site that publishes television ratings, the episode was watched by 582,000 people, but I am unsure how accurate that number is and how many of them stuck around until the credits.

As always, thanks Newgrounds for hosting it and thanks for the reviews and feedback! I will turn up again sooner or later with Pleasure Island 3.

Ps I love that Squidhunting Manwhore was, however briefly, the #1 song.

And congratulations to James & Hania for Tarboy winning the film of 09, I was again privileged to be a judge this year and this time I picked the winner!

Gratz! It was truly a tragedy the pole-dancing had to be cut down :C

Sexual-Lobster responds:

i know right, i mean the whole thing was an excuse for the pole dance!

I watch TV! I live in Australia! *Urinates blood*

Sexual-Lobster responds:

enjoy, my friend, and get that bladder problem looked at.

All you have to do is make gradually longer and longer Q&A flashes until they replace the show itself. Then you can tell the panel to, "cut it down".

Sexual-Lobster responds:

YES that is a great idea, except that it would necessitate me making hour long animations every week.

Saw it last night dude very awsome any plans for another one?

Sexual-Lobster responds:

i always think i'm not going to make another one for them but then down the track i get an idea, so i can't say for sure.

as long as there was the Raptor still eating the baby - all is good in the world.

Sexual-Lobster responds:

Raptor Jesus' hunger for baby flesh is eternal.

that was sooo sick to watch Raptor Jesus spread the word of liver meats on live television, continue spreading your message of salmon love/ crazy shenanigans

Sexual-Lobster responds:

salmon love spreads itself, if you know what i mean...

Congrats on your TV spot! Seems like censorship is less strict in Australia than in the US. Stuff like that would not fly here. Too much politics. Glad the internet is not censored...that would be the end of newgrounds as we know it!

Sexual-Lobster responds:

we're probably a bit more relaxed about religion here...generally.

Damn, not in AUS so I can't watch it on abc.net. I guess I'll just have to wait until I see it somewhere else to check it out. I have to agree with weeerie's commment. People here in the states are still pretty touchy when it comes to their mythology.

Sexual-Lobster responds:

not one religious person has registered their displeasure yet, i'm kind of disappointed!

Ask Raptor Jesus was hysterical, you are more than deserving of the attention. Congratulations!

thanks!

I seriously don't know why you don't have a show yet. Your stuff is light years ahead of the crap that's on tv right now.

Sexual-Lobster responds:

i don't know how i'd go writing full length scripts, it's really hard to keep them consistently funny.

^_^

Any chance you recorded it, like Deathmatch? I'd love to hear their reactions. And did Mr Q&A refer it to as a "video manga fantasy" again?

Also, I don't think that many people are familiar with Raptor Jesus IRL, so I guess that might explain the less intense reaction... and the lack of good taste of IRL people! T_T

Sexual-Lobster responds:

i'm not going to upload it because it's the shorter, weaker version, but if you can be bothered downloading the whole hour long show you can get it here: http://www.abc.net.au/tv/qanda/tx t/s2883086.htm

the presenter finally did not mess up the intro, i asked them just to say my name this time.

Btw, when are you going to be paid oodles of cash and/or get your very own television series? I mean, it's a self evident <fact>* that you deserve both.

* Yes, a fact, not a mere 'opinion', when your stuff is a good as yours.
^_^

Sexual-Lobster responds:

ha ha thanks!

i'd have to say the answer appears to be "never", but it's not like i've ever pitched a show to a network or anything

i had to find it to believe that they would put this on there show. i looked it up online and BAM there it was!
epic dude, epic

Sexual-Lobster responds:

i thought that maybe they wouldn't because after all it's not very political and a bit random but they happily they did.

I'd like to see tony abbott's response to him poll dancing with his very sugestive clothes.

Sexual-Lobster responds:

he'd probably growl and headbutt something.

Oh, I forgot to say in my review: I don't get what the joke is with the "Ray Melon" character. That just seemed random rather than funny.

Sexual-Lobster responds:

it's RAGEmelon. maybe that makes it clearer, maybe it doesn't.
